I can't believe there is racist people in Singapore.
I was boarding the east bound train this afternoon and sitting beside me are these 2 young guys. One of them is a American Chinese, suspected he's here on an exchange programme, and another guy is a local chinese, supposedly an undergraduate.
I named them "ABC" and "Singaporean" in this article.
"ABC" and "Singaporean" were chatting away, talking about podcasts and transportations in singapore and other stuffs. "ABC"'s strong american accent was so prominent that he has no idea how many commuters were staring at him. Then these 2 guys started to talk about examination grades and modules. So here it goes...
"ABC" : man, how much you get for your math module?
"Singaporean" : Hmmm... a 'F' grade, fail.... ( replying back with an unusual american-imitated tone... )
"ABC" : Dude, thats so lousy! Are you asian??!!
"Singaporean" : Why say that??
"ABC" : i thought ASIAN SHOULD BE VERY GOOD IN MATHS??!!...
I was grossed out by what he said. . . .
