Its funny how DJs trying to keep us aroused with trivia from other countries. And yesterday, i listen to this.

Jean Danker was reporting about the ranking of the world's safest cities and i was really not paying attention to that.
She mentioned that VANCOUVER IS THE WORLD'S SAFEST CITY. Ranked number 1.

And my canadian intern sitting in front of me starts to be skeptical about the new found theory. He's not a big fan of Singapore radio and still thinks Singapore radio is trying too hard to entertain people!

He commented, " No! " with a strong canadian accents.

" Vancouver actually has one of the most notorious gang in the world."

" Really?.." i think to myself. Now i know why it means LOW CRIME DOES NOT MEAN NO CRIME.

Then we listened on and what's next really keep us laughing.

" SINGAPORE IS RANKED 54TH ON THE LIST AND HONGKONG IS ABOVE OUR RANKING. "

Now both me and Thomas, the canadian intern, stared hard at each other with total disbelief. "Hongkong's gangs is so much fearsome than the little ah bengs in coffeeshops and second hand handphone stores... "

" Do you know why i come to Singapore and do my internship? " Thomas indicated. " BECAUSE I THOUGHT SINGAPORE IS REALLY THE MOST SAFE CITY IN THE WHOLE WORLD. "
